I am tring to connect to my webpage server but the connect returns an error of “No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.” What would the cause be if any?

It sounds like a permissions issue on the Web server but a specific cause or solution would be difficult without knowing whether you are running IIS, Apache or something else, as well as knowing what browser you’re trying to access it with.
