Connecting to my PC throught my dlink router over the internet

Just as my question state thats what i need help with.I have tried port fowarding the router IP address as well as the IP address from my ISP to my router to connect but i cant get through.Can some one please advise me on what i’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
