Connecting to the AS/400 with VPN

Thanks to anyone out there with ideas on this problem we’re seeing…

Our remote users connect to our AS/400 via a PPTP VPN tunnel. Since upgrading the AS/400 to OS 4R5, our Windows 2000 machines can’t sustain an AS/400 connection.

Any machines running NT 4.0, Win98 or 95, can still connect just fine. It’s only the Windows 2000 machines that have this trouble. The problem appears irregardless of the emulator used.

We’ve spoken to IBM and Microsoft and of course they both say it mustbe the other’s fault. Has anyone run into this problem? Any ideas?

  I am Kaizad,
  There is no problem in windows 2000, As you said that you have upgraded your OS so just Uninstall the client access software from your windows 2000. Again Reinstall Client Access Express with typical installation. I think it should solve your problem. If this is not solving your problem just check your TCP/IP.
