I am seeking to connect a Windows 98SE machine and a Windows 2000 Prfessional machine. Both computers have shares and permissions established. My problem is I can “see” (I share an internet connection with the 98 box) the 98 computer, but I can’t access the disk. The 98 is running two network cards (one for the network and one for an ADSL line). The second card is not seen by the computer (no lights are on), but I can see it in control panel. I reloaded the drivers for both cards over the weekend (the cards are Kingston for the ADSL and Netgear for the Lan network). I’m running a Netgear router. What do I need to do now to connect to the 98 disk? Do I need internet connection shaing with a router, and do I have to have internet connection sharing to connect to the 98 disk?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, since I’m a newbie.
