connecting xp home to win server 2003 R2

hai,

we had a win-server 2003R having ip-192.168.1.2 with no gateway and DNS – and we log it through this computer(not domain).- and we have xp home edition pc with ip address
192.168.1.3 with no DNs and gate with connected in a workgroup
we can connect xp home from server and can able to ping , but cant able to ping or connect from xp home.Is there is any security conf. in server 2003, if they pls. help me
