I have two WIN98SE clients that use Novell Client 3.3 to log on to the
network. There is an application that the use maybe 2 a week at the most. The
software is loaded locally but the database is on a server. When they try to
access it the program later in the day by clicking on the shortcut,
explorer.exe locks up. If you end task explorer.exe and try to go to network
neighborhood, it just searches, like it thinks it is still on the network but
can’t find anything. I can successfully ping other clients though. I believe
that this is a WIN98 issue. There is another client that uses the same software
and has no problem. But he is in the program all day. After the other clients
lock up and you restart the client you can access it fine.
Has anyone every experienced this before? I can’t find any info on this issue
and would like any info you might want to give.
