Connection through NAT to an ISP

By gary.denton ·
I have a small network with a minor problem. There are two servers run 2000 server -- one serves as the DNS/DHCP server and the other is the communications (NAT) server with a modem to do Demand Dail-in to the ISP. There are three client machines, two on 2000, the other on W98. All the machines can use the web through the NAT machine except for one of the 2000 clients. I'm looking for ideas on where to start to determine the problem with this one machine (it doesn't appear to be user account related).
Thank you in advance.

Check the Network settings of the good one and compare it to the bad one...That should help.

Make sure the one that is not working is setup to get its information from the DHCP server. Windows 2000 is configured with a default IP address if it is not changed at setup. This could be your problem.
