Consolidation in MS Excel

hi. i am using MS Excel 2002, i am using the consolidate option. itz working but when i use “use labels in” and “create links to the source data” it shows the error “cannot creates links to consolidation sheet” WHY??? i tried so many times but same outcome. why it happens all the time??? plz reply me at goshe1975@hotmail.com
