Content Advisor in IE5.5

By Keelhan ·
How do i disable content advisor in the internet explorer. Somebody set up the password security level to high and put a password so the IE can't be used on that machine. Is there a quick way to reset it short of reinstalling windows?

The Content Adviser password is held in the registry. That is why uninstalling and reinstalling will not fix it. The key is as follows: HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Ratings there will be a key there labeled "key". That key holds the encrypted content advisor Supervisor password. Delete that key. That will set the Content Advisor Password to blank.
