I went to remove a program through the remove programs in my control panel and got this error message. Windows encountered and error while working with the control panel file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\APPWIZZ.CPL. Nothing in my control panel will work and it gives this message for all of the things in control panel when clicked on. I also have 2 programs that have started giving illegal opperations since I have found these error. They are bear share and aimster. I am using windows 98.
