I’m trying to implement a system that would switch from an Optical Ethernet Link to an RF link during periods of heavy fog/rain.
The Optical Modem has an output ‘A’ that goes high when the signal is lost.
What I’m looking for is an off the shelf Fast Ethernet switch that could be used to switch an incoming 100baseT signal from the Optical to the RF modems given the value of A.
If someone has a better solution, that may be accepted as well.
