Controlling electrical appliance throught a phone.

Hi I am instructor of Refrigeration and I am looking to merch OMRON PLC with an IVR. I am thinking to use elastix and visual-0.1.2.pre4 to control the electrical appliance through a telephone from anywhere. I am looking for some advice and maybe for an c expert to help me to do this school proyect.
