Are there any surveyors here? I am after a program which can convert angles to coordinates.
I have several files created by National Survey Software and they contain HA, VA and distance readings. Usually we use the NSS software to covert the readings to eastings, northings and height coordinates.
The NSS software we are using is now unsupported and will only run on Windows 3.11. Our Windows 3.11 machine will not last much longer... If anyone knows of any standalone conversion software I can use to achieve this I would be very grateful.

You are one cool dude. The links are great, and although the math is beyond me, they will certainly help someone else. I discovered that a program I have called N4ce can do the same thing simply by importing the data as a text file - one click and the data is converted to coordinates.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
