I am having trouble trying to change my Linksys SRW2016 from a Layer2 to a Layer3 Managed switch. It is in default configuration right now so i login using “admin” with no password through hyperterminal. Option 4 is “System Mode”. I select that and I am at the “System Mode Selection” screen. However, I am unable to modify the current system mode from Layer 2 to Layer 3.
Do I need to download different firmware to take advantage of Layer 3 technologies, or is this switch unable to perform these duties. Thanks for your help.
