I’ve bought a converter IDE/ATA-USB for being able to read with my actual PC (WinXPHE SP2) two disks of an old PC running Win98SE. I can read the first disk perfectly. The second one, even if recognized as hardware device by ny system (I can see it when I want to unmount the virtual USB device), hasn’t assigned a logical drive letter, so I’m unable to read it.
I checked may times the settings, which, moreover, are the same for the two disks. I reminded that perhaps I compressed this disk, to gain space and, for this reason, XP isn’t able to manage in a right way this device. Is it reasonable?
Thanks in advance.
