Unfortunately, this is not incredibly simple.

First download the trial version of ReadIris:
http://www.irisusa.com/youreview/demo.html

You can open your PDF into ReadIRis and have it scan the document for text and create a Word Document from it. Be aware that OCR (Opticle Character Recognition) is at best only 85% accurate. You will have alot of cleanup to do on this document. Once you convert it to Word.

convert pdf for editing or importing?

by rogerrr88 In reply to

If the author's purpose is to import pdf into word document rather than edit it, he/she didn't need to convert pdf and just import pdf as an picture. The snapshot tool of Adobe reader enables you do that.
If the purpose is to edit pdf files, I advise you use a program to <a href="http://www.convertpdf.org/convert-pdf-to-editable-word.html">convert pdf to editable word</a>. A good converter will parse original file layout, text, image, graphics and so on then fix and locate them into word files accordingly. There is no much reformatting, cleanup.

If you have the full Adobe package (not just the reader), you can save the pdf into a number of other formats. Here is a link to download a trial version to see if this will work for you:

Thanks glyall,
Good but this document contains tables and graphics which many OCR Softwares do not handle quite well.
