Converting Emails

By john.cb1 ·
I have tried the following programming:

To can change the emails and files from the Incredimail program into the outlook express files, But i could not understand how to do.

Could you please explain in detail on how to use this converter, or is there another way i can do the conversion

I do not have outlook.

Where is the outlook express folder.

How do i convert the files.

In Other words still not sure how to convert the folders, can you explain in more detail, how to convert the folders

Each IncrediMail folder stores its messages in two files -- *.imh and *.imm -- the .imh file is a index-file to .imm where the messages are stored.

I can find only one file in folders.imh which is only 1kb long, how do i find the other ine called the index-file

I recently had to export incredimail messages to outlook express and I found a program called incrediconvert that would do just that. It was very easy to use and it exported all of my messages. The only problem I ran into was with folders created in the inbox in incredimail. I had to create new folders in outlook express and then drag the messages into the new folders. You have to keep outlook express open where you can see the folders you created and then drag the *.eml files that incrediconvert created into the folders you created in outlook express. If you have a lot of *.eml files just highlight all of the messages and drag them at one time. Here is the site where I found it:
i have been told that you cant convert them; but i know for a fact that if you send them to a web account (hotmail, yahoo, etc) that they show up just fine... i am going to go look at this incrediconvert URL, but if that doesnt pan out, i will just resend everything i want to keep to my hotmail acct... then once i install Outlook, i will download the email and go through and soft manually. what you could do is forward the emails to a hotmail account and then open outlook or outlook express and set-up your hotmail account in it. it will then ask you if you want to download the folders that is already in your hotmail mail box. viola! Try the incrediconvert and I think you will be pleased.
