Converting FAT32 to NTFS on Win2K

by craig.shaw . Updated 25 years, 1 month ago

I had a FAT32 file system on Win2k. I converted to NTFS using ‘CONVERT’. No problems there, but the cluster size is 512bytes.

I realise the obvious problems with clusters of 512 (you dont get a choice using convert) but the MFT is 99% full ona disc that has used only 30% of its space.

I can smell trouble ahead!!

Am I right in thinking that ‘Convert’ wasnt such a good idea?

Is there a solution, or have I got this all wrong?
