Converting old Visual Foxpro

I am trying to update an old inherited system in Dos. It has database that Windows properties identifies as visual Foxpro, but when I attemp to convert to Excel, that program identifies it as DataBase. The indexes are .ntx. All that I get is the field names, but no data. There are thousands of records, and I can’t get one off.
Starting to panic. Have tried to import to Access and Paradox, with the same result, field names, but no data.
