copied admin profile incorrectly

By Shanghai Sam ·
I have copied the local admin profile to another user. I discovered the user could only do certain things (like install outlook) if I gave this user admin priviledges. My mistake is that when I copied the profile, I should have changed the "Permitted to Use" field to "builtin/users". I do not wish to **** away the current profile for this user. How do I set the permissions on the profile after I've already copied it (in order to revoke the admin priviledges and keep profile)?

This is related to security issue. You can go to the folder where the profile is stored and add in the user's full rights to this folder onward. Remember to allow inheritable permissions to all child.

If this doesn't work, then your user will need to "take ownership" to the folder. Make him/her the administrator and take over the folder and remember again to allow inheritable permissions to child folders.
