Copies not formatting right.

I have 3 people (so far) with the same problem. Two have Office 2000 Pro. One has Office 97 Pro. They are all using Windows 2000 Pro Operating System. Different printers. Different drivers. All Hp lasers. All networked with Jetdirect cards.
Problem: In same print operation from Excel, any copies beyond the first is either missing cells with extra formatting (shading/borders), or have the cells printing 3 times as large somewhere on the paper.
Another symptom they all have. If Collate is turned off, Nothing but the first page prints. No error messages. Doesn’t look like the copies even spool to the printer.
