I have two Catalyst 3524s. I screwed myself so badly yesterday. I was goofing around with the OS on one and wiped out the .BIN boot file. I understand how to copy a file TO the switch with the “copy” command with “xmodem:”. I cannot figure out how to copy FROM the working 3524 so I can copy that file to the hosed switch.
Is this even possible? Do I need to use TFTP instead of Hyperterminal? If I do have to use TFTP, could someone give me detailed instructions on how to do so? OR, is there a way to obtain the .BIN file from somewhere else so I can just copy it to the failed switch?
