Copy command fails

By sterling ·
The copy command hangs up in our workstation using Win 2000. Rebooting solves the issue, but there must be a tweak that will solve the problem.

Any ideas?

to get an answer to your problem

first, a technical question will get more attention if it is put in the Technical Question & Answer section. Repost there and the people that answer questions like this will see it.

Second, you will need to provide some more information.
What are you copying?
Is this the copy command from the edit menu or from the command line?

Give an example of the command that you are typing in.

When is the last time you cleared your TEMP folder?

From the RUN line, type %temp% and it will open the users temp folder. This needs to be manually cleared because Windows does not do a good job of cleaning up after it's self. Make sure all applications are closed before doing this! Then reboot.

Good luck.
