Copy DB for editing, is this bad?

by ra_tevis . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

I make a copy of the front & back end of my DB on a zip disk, I then take it home do a relink of tables, and design or modify forms etc. as needed. When I return to work I import the forms queries etc. that I made changes to or designed into the original DB. It seems that shortly after I do this my original DB has problems that can’t be resolved, and sometimes it’s with forms that I haven’t made changes to. ie: one form works for all except on machine, or form that wasn’t edited now gets errors that “Operation not supported in transactions”
Does anyone have problems like this? I sure don’t want to give up being able to work from home, but I can’t keep rolling back the DB and spending hours trying to fix these problems.
