That’s right… MY PCs a mess…
And that’s not all:
When I minimize windows, they dont appear on the task bar. It seems like only the quick launch, the language bar and the task tray appear.
My sound is off and according to the sound and audio devices form control panel there is no audio device.
I cannot turn off system restore. I get the error message: “System restore encountered a error trying to enable/disable one or more drives. please restart your machine and try again.” which I did and was obviously unsuccesful…
I’ve ran Ad-Aware, didn’t find anything.
I’ve ran sfc /scannow, nothing came out of it.
I would love to just reformat and start from scratch, Other than the fact that I would have to spend 3 days reinstalling everything–which I could do, my gf’s away for another 2 weeks–but I cant even back up my files, since I cant drag and drop.
Finally I’ve tried to install AVG but at the end of the installation if fails giving me the codes:
“Initialization.
Warning: Windows firewall activity checking failed. The RPC server is unavailable (1722)
Installation.
Error: Action failed for file avgamsvr.exe: starting service… The dependency service or group failed to start (1068)”
All I can say is BLAH…
Any help would be much welcomed.
