Copy users from Win2k server to another

By joshhansen ·
I have many users on a win2k standalone server that I want to copy to another win2k standalone server (no domains). How can I easily copy the users to the other server (without loosing their passwords)? Thanks

I don't think that is possible - by default, the password encryption is irreversible - applications can only write password, or verify it, but not read it in plain text. So, while you can copy the accounts easily with a simple script, the passwords will be lost.

In a workgroup, each machine has to have it's own accounts for users. That means that you can use a script probably as suggested in answer one, but passwords will have to be created manually.
