copying embedded URLs to word 2000

I use a windows 98 system, with Opera 6.0 as my internet browser. My default word processor is Word 2000. When I use CUT and PASTE to copy articles from my browser window to a word 2000 document the embedded links(URLs) get copied as plain text. Earlier when I did this, the
embedded links also got automatically copied. I had to completly re-format and re-install all
the software including windows 98 on my system.
This problem has come up since this reinstall. Please tell me how I should configure my system or word 2000 so that the links are also automatically copied into the document when I cut and paste from my browser window to the word 2000 document.
