Copying Mailbox Data to a new Mailbox at

by sygnatech . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

In the past, our company email and network logins have been a 4 letter format, representing the person’s name. Since our company has expanded, I have decided to go to the common format of first initial, last name. I.E. jsmi (old) jsmith (new). Iam running Exchange 5.5 SP2. One thing I didn’t think about was how I’m going to copy the mailbox data from the old mailbox to the new mailbox at the server level. I know I can use outlook to export the user’s mailbox to a pst file and then importit back into the new mailbox, but is there a simpler and faster way of doing this at the server level? Thanks.
