    copying to WORD document

We use Hummingbird’s HostExplorer for Windows NT, version 6.1.1.0, in our daily customer contacts. When copying from HostExplorer and pasting to Word 97 we want Lucida Console to be the default font in Word. Word is not allowing this to be the automatic default.
How can this be set up to be the default when pasting?

The trick is to open up the template NORMAL.DOT in Word 97. File Open File Type change to templates or. dot. Once in the template go to the Format Menu Styles, and Change the Normal style to Lucida Console.
If you cannot find NORMAL.DOT use the find command, as there maybe serveral e.g. different files for different users.

An easier way would be to open word with just a blank document. Go to Format >> Font and change to the font you want. Then before you close out the dialog box make sure you press the DEFAULT button which changes your default font to the one you chose. Hope this does it for you!

The font could be a Protected font and cannot be copied or modified. If you use a protected font in a document and this document is opened on a computer that does not have the font installed on it,a subtitution occurs
      ChooseOptions from the Tools menu
      Click the Save Tab
Select the embedded True type font checks box
