Assuming you meant "core 2 duo"....

There is no difference between them, it's just the name the manufacturer gives the processor. I believe Intel calls them "dual core" and AMD calls them "core 2 duo"

Pentium dual core processors are lower end processors (cheaper), while Core 2 Duo (and Core 2 Quad) processors are higher market.

You also find that you can not get dual core processors in higher ranges than 2.6Ghz, while most Core 2 Duo processors are equal or higher.
