    Corrupt database files

    Locked

    by astute guy ·

I have some database files which I have created on Visual FoxPro. Yesterday I was accessing them but what I found there was very shocking! I’m getting this: the .dbf file header is corrupted. Now I have no idea how to deal with this. I think my files are corrupted or aren’t they? What should I do? I need a software program which can repair my files. I searched on Google but I found a huge list. I can’t use all of them. Has anyone ever faced this kind situation in the past? Please help me………!

Well I have used DBF format once in my past. But they never got corrupted. So I can’t say anything about corruption. You must use a software application to repair your corrupt files.

Once I read an article about DBF corruption and the software application which can fix it. The tool is something like sysinfotools DBF repair. You can use it. That’s all what I can say. Just search it on Google because I don’t where it is! And one more thing, you will get its free demo version………..
      Best of luck………

DBF File header file corruption can occur due to various reasons, like improper system shutdown, virus attack, modification in hex-editor, and application malfunction. When the DBF file header gets corrupted due to any of the above reasons, the file becomes unreadable or inaccessible. Moreover, a user encounters an error message while opening the file, which happens in your case. You can use following solutions to overcome DBF file header corruption,:
