I need some serious help! I have a 250GB ext. HD that wont read. I was watchin an avi movie and half way through i got a read/write error and haven’t been able to access any info on it since.
The drive is detected but everytime i try to access the info i get a i/o device error. I’m running an XP OS and I’ve tried chkdsk in the run box, that only checks my C drive. I’ve tried disk manager and the drive doesn’t appear on the list.
Under normal circumstances i’d format and reload from my back ups. Problem is that this IS my back up and i cant afford to loose the data.
Any ideas? I’m totally freaking out here! I dunno what else to do.
