Corrupt/Missing Files in Windows XP Pro

I am not able to load Windows XP Professional due to missing or corrupt file on c:\windows\system32\system. I tried to let Win XP to repair it, but it did not fix it. Is there anyway to reload Windows XP Pro without losing any of programs or data?
