Corrupt USB Memory

By jim.wyse ·
I have a 1GB USB "Pen drive", but it is showing up in WinXP as 482MB only, after some files being copied to it corrupted.
How can I restore this to its full 1GB?

reformat it. get your file off first if the only copy you have.

if it still is corrupt then hardware problem. There are alot of cheap USB drives that can go bad easily.

However, like USB hard drives, if your computer freezes while copying, or drive open, windoze can corrupt the drive because it wants to close it.
