Corrupted SD card due to shredding

By Infernal Acolyte ·
I've shredded my SD card using a program called Eraser but after it finished shredding, my PC cannot detect the SD card anymore so as my cellphone (it displays memory card corrupted).

Is there a solution so that my PC can recognize again my SD card?

Take it to the phone company....

Maybe they have a way to reinitialize the card. If they don't, toss it. You shredded it distroying the boot sector needed for the phone and PC to recognize it.

Not likely you have most likely destroyed the SD Card

But you can try placing it in the computer and going to Disc Management and see if you can format the SD Card. It just may work but I wouldn't be holding my breath in anticipation.

You shouldn't use software like that to wipe Removable Memory as it destroys the Partition Information and consensually the Card.

A longshot updating the PC drivers???

Is there a site where I can upload some drivers for the SD card? I think this is a long shot but I might give it a try.

Not the SD Card as such

You can try installing new USB Drivers or a new Device Driver for the device that the Memory Card fits into. But a Driver for the Card as such doesn't exist.

For the USB Drivers you need to go to either the System Makers Web Site of the M'Board Makers Web Site. The Device Driver for the Device obviously can be found at the Device Makers Web Page.

Failing that you can try

However anything that you find at Drivers.Com will be at best the same ones that you find at the makers Web Site and maybe a bit older depending on the last time that they updated their D'Base.
