Couple of Problems with Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003

by neil denham . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

Hi,

Whenever i start Outlook 2003 on a new client computer i am greeted with the error message.

The add-in “C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\scanemal.dll” could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menue.

I have tried the following;

– Detect and Repair
– Uninstalling Network Associates
– Manually Uninstalling Network Associates
– Checking Permissions on Exchange 2003 Server
– Setting Client to Administrator Permissions
– Shouting
– Swearing
– Threatning Server with Format

But to no avail on any of these steps.

If anyone knows a solution to this i would greatly appreciate it.

The second problem is on the same client computer. it wont open another mailbox and gives the error message

“unable to expand the folder”
and when you double click on the mailbox it gives this message.

“unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could not access the specified folder location.

i have tried everything that i did on the first problem but still no joy.
