    CPU and Memory

    Is it really neccesary for the CPU and Memory to run at the same Bus speed. For instance, a Celeron CPU @ 66MZ and Memory @ 133MZ. How well will they work together.

      it really depends on your system board. If it is capable of allowing speed mismatches. I have yet though to see any that allow mixing of 100mhz and 133mhz ram though

      Hi, answer 1 is correct in that it does depend on your motherboard. If you are lucky, the (133Mhz)memory will also work at the lower bus speed and your system will be functional, but you will not have realize any benefit from the faster (and more expensive) memory.

        The (133Mhz) memory will work at the lower bus speed. You confirmed my suspicions about realizing the benefits of the faster memory.
