    CPU PROBLEMS

    i HAVE A aOPEN MOTHERBOARD ( AX6BC-VER2 )CURRENTLY RUNNING A CELERON 733CPU. I’VE BOUGHT A CELERON 1.3GHz CPU WITH THE SAME 370 SOCKET (FC-PGA2) IT FITS BUT THE COPUTER WILL NOT BOOTUP.
    WHAT CANT I DO? BIOS, JUMPERS, WHAT DO I CHANGE?
    ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!

      You need to configure the Bios to increase the multiplier and clock.There might be jumpers on your motherboard to configure this thing.

      Find out if you MB supports your new CPU, if not get a different MB.

      According to the manual, your motherboard is limited to a 800 MHz CPU.

      100 MHz front side buss, and 8X maximum multiplier.

      Intel Celeron? Processor 266MHz-466MHz (66Mhz).
      Intel Pentium? II Processor 233MHz-366MHz (66Mhz).
      Intel Pentium? II Processor 350MHz-450MHz (100Mhz)
      Intel Pentium? III Processor 450MHz-550MHz (100Mhz)
      Slot 1 Socket for Future Expansion.

      You will need to consider getting a new motherboard
