Patient: Toshiba Satellite M45 s262..
lately I was playing around with tosiba’s security system and managed put a p/w and “string”(guess this is clue to the password). Next time when I turned the comp on it asked me 4 p/w, with the clue I typed in string box. Guess what?? it does not like my p/w and wont let me in.
I have tried sorting the battery and it takes me to enter date?…time…and gives me two choice f1(manual Setup) and f2 (Default). Both the choice takes me to square 1.
Some1 has mentioned abt this prob n said that admin p/w gets stored in EEPROM therefore c’not be deleted by taking cmos batt or shorting it.
So here I’m relying on the gurus who actually know what I’m on abt to help me. And 4 other idiots, save urself from telling me to take it to toshiba or its authorized dealer.
