Create a "bootable image cd"

By mro9669 ·
I need information on how to create an image cd that's also bootable so that you don't have to insert the floppy with norton ghost to help load the image to a PC?
I would like to receive detailed step-by-step on how to do this.

Thank You

Create a "bootable image cd"

I have Adaptec easy CD Creator 4.02. I solved this problem a few weeks ago. First of all you need to make bootable floppy. Note: the bootable floppy has to be setup to do everything exactly the way you what the boot process to go. You can not change it on the CD. Now open Easy CD Creator (other programs may do this) Select FILE then NEW. Anohter menu should appear with a option to create a bootable CD.
You will need the bootable floppy in the drive. It will create to file on the CD for booting. I believe they are both BIN files. These files MUST and I repeat MUST be the first files on the CD. You can add other files after but make sure they appear after the BIN files. Rename your files if you have to. Also note:These BIN files are saved to your NT/2000 profile also so you may have to delete them if you need to make boot changes on the floppy and make a new CD.

I created a recovery CD that boots and automatically starts Ghost and asks the user to confirm the recovery.

After slightly modifying the config.sys and
autoexec.bat of a backup copy of the regular Windows98 startup diskette -- I simply "told"
my cd-burner software to create a bootable
CD, and to use the files on my 2nd copy of
windows startup diskette(in floppy drive a:)
-- hopes this helps.
