Create a Bootable WinXP CD Slipstreamed With SP2 and Hotfixes

by wainui . Updated 18 years ago

HI,

I tried this method but ran into a problem trying to Integrate Windows XP (Home) and SP2 (Network Installation version.
This is what I did :
C:\XP_SP2>WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.EXE /integrate:C:\WinXP

After several minutes of “business” I get this error message :

Failed to copy some or all of the files necessary for integrated install.

Please check that :

(a) No Network or copy errors occurred during the integration process.
(b) The format of the destination directory is correct.
The files to be integrated must reside in an i386 and /or ia64 or nec98 directory.
(i.e. for an i386 share, if you typed “update /s:c:\cdshare”, the files must be in the C:\cdshare\i386 directory)

I have copied the contents of my Windows XP CD to the WinXP folder
And downloaded the SP2 updates to the XP_SP2 folder

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks.
