Create a XP service

By warren ·
Can you create a service to run an application and if yes how do you do it. I need to run a credit card application so that users can log on and off of XP while the application remains running.

Thanks

Warren

SRVANY

If the application already exists (i.e. previously coded and compiled) you might try using the SRVANY.EXE tool from the Windows 2000/2003 resource kit.
If you are developing the application, you can create a Windows service with VB, C#, and .NET within Visual Studio.

Consider FireDaemon http://www.firedaemon.com .They used to have a Lite (free) version for a single service but apparently no more.

Nice Program

by warren In reply to Firedaemon

I downloaded Fire Daemon and have messed around with it a bit. It looks like it may do the job. I need to test the app that I am createing a service for and see if it acts corectly.

Thanks,

Warren
