Creating a batch file that Pings an IP.

I am trying to create a batch file that will Run In windows 2000 Pro and In Win98se. I need for the batch file to ping my local server and then after It finds the local server to Pause then close the command prompt when I press any key. Help!! Thanks

Something like this ought to work:

@echo off

ping ServerName
Pause
exit

Steps. (an improvement on the previous response).
Lets say the file name is "pinger.bat"

@echo off
Ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Pause
Pinger.bat

If the ping is successfll, then <Ctrl+Break> will cancel. Other wise pressing any key will try again.
