Creating a dual boot system

by educarelc . Updated 17 years, 7 months ago

One of my important applications won’t run on my new Vista machine, and the software company can’t provide a fix. I thought that I could use Partition Magic to divide my hard drive into two separate partitions, then install XP Home (I have a legitimate never used CD) on one of them and be able to boot into XP when I need to run that app. However, Symantec says that Partition Magic will not run under Vista. Is there any other way to accomplish this? I don’t want to possibly mess up a new machine by trying to replace Vista with XP, I would rather have them both. Thanks.
