Creating Alternative New Folder Command

By SCCare ·
I used a TechRep.Com article suggested procedure to create a "New Folder" button on my Windows Explorer tool bar. The procedure required adding a registry command. I was sure I followed the written procedures to a tee, but it didn't happen so I used the procedures also provided to remove the registry command. Now when ever I double click on a folder in the main Explorer window it goes into the search window instead of opening the selected folder. Can anyone suggest a way to correct this problem.

Did you try restoring a registry backup before you made the change? Windows keeps several, at least 98 did. How about System Restore?

This answer was an excellent suggestion which I used, but it didn't solve my problem. I think it was because I did the dumb thing on June 23 and my register retores only went back to July 1. I need to know how and where I can go in thew registry to correct this.
