I have just installed a new HP dx2000 at a remote site and connected it to the existing CRT 17″ Monitor. The monitor had been working fine with the previous PC – an HP Brio running XP. Now about five minutes after the PC is switched on the screen image begins to fold back behind itself at the top and squashes up at the bottom until after half an hour the Taskbar has disappeared into a hairline and the top half of the screen has completely folded back. The menus in whatever software is being used are upside down and reversed and if moved up the screen the mouse pointer will roll back down the top half. I hope this all makes sense as it’s driving the users mad. They have to shutdown for half an hour to allow the monitor to “reset”. I have tried degaussing and changing the drivers, resolution, refresh frequency all to no avail. Any advice welcome.
