Crystal Reports...Dynamically displaying subreport

By kmyck ·
Hello All,

I am writing a report for inspections. I have the main report that deals with truck inspections and a subreport that deals with the mounted equipmnet inspections, for equipment grouped to the specific truck.

However, at the moment my report only displays information if the truck has an expired inspection but will only display the equipment inspections if the truck has an expired inspection as well.

I need for the ME expired inspections to display even if the unit level inspections are ok.

Thank you for your help,

If you can get to the data

in the subreport, without doing a subreport, set a formula that is true if any of what you want to display is present - either truck expired or equipt expired. You can suppress repeating the same truck more than once also I think.

then base conditional display of section on that field.

we use a subreport in one case because it is too slow accessing data outside subreport. In your case I don't think it sounds like you have as many records.
