Press the keys in the following order but dont let go of them. ALT, CTRL, DEL. If you have to, try it 100 times! If that doesnt work, then go into ms-dos mode and try ALT+CTRL+DEL. if that doesnt work, then your keyboard is screwed up.

12-08-01 I held the delete key on the calculator with Alt and Ctrl to the right of the space bar. It worked.

Usually on the error it has a "hit enter to continue" or a "detials/close" button. Try that first.

If that doesn't work it just means that means the windows is so unstable that none of the keys will work (it's locked up) and you have to do the cold boot.

The best thing to do is figure out what program is causing it and run Dr. Watson and check the log file, or if you can get a copy of Norton Crash Guard.

This way you can find out what is causing the page fault and hopefully stop them from happening.

Hit the ctrl + alt + delete, then hit alt + s. That should shut down your computer. If not then reboot manually or reset.

my first piece of advice is to try and get rid ofm the invalid page fault post a question on that also dont believe everything you read.
first when your computer locks up see if the caps lock or number lock keys work by looking at the corospondinglights if the lights dont go on and off then your only option is to power off manually. the three fingerd sulute only works if the processor is not locked up or in a loop or error condition. i would like to try and help with the invalid page fault
