I updated Windows XP and was no longer able to use my computer.
Accessed the immediate before restore point and Outlook Express and Internet Explorer now did not work.
Reinstalled SP3 did not help !
Uninstalled all updates and reinstalled SP3 now Outlook Express worked/However I.E. 7 tools-> Intenet options did not work.
Microsoft answers only address 95-98 and Millennium not XP (Tried all of their instructions any way) this did not work.
Went to Windows\System32\ and erased inetcpl.cpl and copied one of the others listed in the search engine.
The replacement was dated 2004 the one replaced was dated 2007.
Now Tools->Internet Options appears to be working.
What problems will I have using this old version of inetcpl.cpl?
