Cursor freezes, restarting won't help

By sean.ipt ·
No matter what OS i use (XP Pro, Win 7 Ultimate or Win Server 2k8 Enterprise), mouse cursor freezes frequently and restarting won't help fix the problem. Only shutting down and starting up again would make the cursor usable.

Reinstalling new OS doesn't seem to make any change. Problem still persists...

i doubt its virus or malware problem...

is there a way to fix this problem permanently? is it something related to CPU temperature or usage %? i don't think either...

Well assuming that you have wiped the HDD between each OS

What you are describing is a Hardware Problem that need to be chased down.

Of course if you have not used something like Boot & Nuke

or Kill Disc

On the HDD before installing a new OS it's always possible that one of the nasty infections has survived a Format and continued to infect the newly installed OS. Though to be perfectly honest just knocking out the Mouse Curser doesn't seem like much of an Infection.

You can try one of the Boot Disc's and see if the problem persists something like The Ultimate Boot CD which is a Free Download can also allow you to test the Hardware while not involving anything on the HDD in the computer.
